Production Operator – Swing Shift

The Production Operator is responsible for the efficient production of plastic materials through preventative maintenance, running machines at optimum performance levels, quality assurance of finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, and shut down of various production equipment including but not limited to plastic bottles, labelers, fillers, high-speed blow molders   and high-speed can lines
  • Rotates through assembly line, performing all production assembly operations as needed
  • Inspects products to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
  • Accurate completion and update of logs and reports such as quality, downtime, etc
  • Visually monitors the machines/equipment and ensures proper function
  • Provides direction and training to assembling team
  • Ensures safe working practices are followed
  • Troubleshoots equipment
  • Accurately completes and updates information forms and logs such as machine report, quality report, downtime report, etc
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience as a production operator
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to understand basic math
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime as needed


Additional Abilities

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to remain in standing position for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in varied climate (hot and cold)
