Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of industrial maintenance mechanics to ensure tasks are completed timely and all production equipment is functioning properly. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor PM program
  • Manage weekly plan to determine job priorities alongside Production management
  • Research new and used equipment and make recommendations to upper management
  • Work with various managers to design and implement changes needed in their areas of operations including equipment modifications and procedures
  • Oversee training on all equipment operation as specified in SOPs
  • Order parts and research substitute parts for all plant maintenance needs
  • Adhere to and manage the budget for the department
  • Manages and provides guidance to Maintenance technicians
  • Coach, train and develop maintenance staff
  • Weekly report status of all ongoing projects to the operations manager
  • Decrease downtime by pinpointing equipment and/or process deficiencies, then planning and making necessary modifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in engineering a plus with 3 years in maintenance field OR 5 years in maintenance field with 2 of those years in a supervisory role
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Experience with PLC function and programming
  • Experience in food production facility a preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Strong automation skills
