Manufacturing Manager

The Manufacturing Manager is a strategic partner to the VP of Operations.  The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and developing and implementing strategies and processes for Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance.  This position requires the ideal candidate to be nimble in a fast-changing and fast-paced business environment.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead and mentor teams to drive manufacturing efficiency and excellence
  • Develop, implement, track and report department KPIs including labor levels, production, maintenance and warehouse efficiencies
  • Provide mentoring and hold teams accountable for driving high-impact business results
  • Determine labor budget based on sales budget/forecast
  • Optimize production, maintenance and warehouse processes
  • Conduct budget reviews to maximize profits
  • Ensure company policies are being followed
  • Anticipate staffing needs and work with Human Resources to attract and retain the right talent
  • Work with department heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement and improve overall operational efficiency
  • Identify weak spots in processes and develop efficiencies
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments based on company needs
  • Support and help prioritize capital expenditure projects based on operational needs
  • Work closely and effectively with other departments including Sales, Marketing, Quality, R&D and Human Resources
  • Perform other duties as assigned


 Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business
  • Successful track record planning, executing and achieving strategic growth plans
  • Experience analyzing budgets, forecasts and financial statements
  • Successful track record leading teams and organizational effectiveness
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Ability to work long hours and overtime as needed

  • When employee enters production areas, they may be exposed to moderate levels of noise
