BEVERAGE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

The Production Supervisor will oversee all production areas and responsibilities (fillers, high-speed can lines, palletizers, high-speed blow molders), ensure that production goals are met, quality of all finished product meets company standards, ensure materials are available for the production team and ensure work environment is safe. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively supervise and improve use of resources so that material, labor, supply and equipment waste is minimized
  • Improve production processes to meet or exceed production efficiency goals
  • Effectively supervise and improve measurable product quality so that defects and waste are minimized
  • Create efficient work schedules based on sales demand and forecast
  • Monitor the work of employees, provide feedback and coaching in a timely manner
  • Understand production schedules in order to efficiently manage material and labor requirements
  • Ensure workforce is properly trained in all key functions
  • Supervise the safety of the production workforce and address safety violations promptly
  • Report and analyze production metrics daily
  • Adapt to changing priorities and use effective approaches for choosing a course of action
  • Identify what needs to be done and take action before being asked, when the situation requires it
  • Develop an environment of respect and trust
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding key information and communications
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet business needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • 2-4 years production supervisor experience preferably in beverage industry
  • Strong written, verbal and listening skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language (written, verbal and listening).  Spanish is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel & Word
  • Ability to interact with a diverse workforce
  • Strong problem-solver
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Ability to work in a varied climate (hold and cold)
  • Ability to remain in standing position for long periods of time
