Utah Supplier Announces Opening of Outlet Store
Emergency food storage is in higher demand than
every before, and Blue Chip Group, Inc. has announced the opening
of a new outlet store in Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake City, Utah – Emergency food storage
supplier Blue Chip Group, Inc. has announced the opening of
a new outlet store for economical bulk foods that can be stored
for emergencies or natural disasters, but can also be used as
part of a daily food supply.
The company has announced the opening of a new outlet store
at the firm’s packaging plant in Salt Lake City. The grand opening
will take place Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 2 - 4.
“Demand for food that can be used on a regular basis, and be
kept safely in long-term storage is in greater demand than ever
before. We have more than tripled the size of our previous outlet
store, and we have enlarged our stock to include products that
have previously been hard to obtain,” explained Jeff Augason
of Blue Chip Group, Inc.
The company offers free information and tips about food storage

along with a free newsletter. Orders can be placed online, and
then picked up at the outlet store. Shipping is also available
for those who live outside the area, according to Augason.
The grand opening of the new outlet store features free samples,
instruction and how-to information, free recipes, door prizes,
and give-aways. Each family in attendance will receive a 2-pound
bag of milk.
For over 30 years customers have traveled to the company offices
at 432 West 3440 South in Salt Lake to make their purchases,
or purchased through mail order from all across the U.S. and
from around the world, according to Augason. Now grocery stores
and distributors also offer the company’s products.

“Blue Chip” was established as a
home-based food distribution business in 1972 when Phil Augason’s
ability and love of the food industry inspired him to develop
nutritious, economical whey based milk alternative, which he named
“Morning Moo’sTM”. This was the beginning of
many enjoyable years in the family business. Phil’s wife, Jacquie, and
their five children still talk about the nights and weekends they
spent helping Dad fill tiny bottles of “Kool-Kids Punch” and ended
up looking like a “Kool-Kid”
themselves.
With the acquisition of the punch company, Kool-Kids
Co.; a lecithin company, Trophic International, Inc.; the addition
of the back mix line, The Blue Chip Baker, and Morning Moo's,
profits were still small, so Blue Chip incorporated becoming Blue
Chip Group, Inc. By then PHil was distributing his products to
Arizona, Idaho and California. Fifteen years later, "Blue Chip" was
distributing a large variety of products to many customers
throughout the United States and 25 years later to Great
Britain, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Africa,
etc.
Blue Chip Group, Inc. has now grown
into a thriving enterprise with 15 employees. Blue Chip Group, Inc.
is able to offer it's customers a full range of products from
bakery mixes, gluten, dough conditioners, and fruit drinks, Soy
drinks and soup mixes.
Blue Chip Group started from nothing but a
dream, and a commitment to excellence. It has been built on
producing quality products, on a timely basis, at a
market-driven price. Blue Chip can take a customers' existing
formula and reproduce it or do customer formulation, blending and
packaging.
Phil believes that it is important to keep
on top of changes in the market place while maintaining the high
